Auckland-based Vessev has introduced the VS—9, a new foiling electric passenger vessel designed to carry 10 passengers at a service speed of 25 knots. The 9-meter vessel, which is in the final phase of sea trials, is set to join the fleet of New Zealand’s largest ferry operator, Fullers360. The VS—9 features advanced foiling technology inspired by the America’s Cup, allowing the carbon fiber hull to rise 50 centimeters above the water, providing a smooth and efficient ride. The premium automotive sector inspires the vessel’s interior, offering ergonomic seating and panoramic views. Designed for versatility, the VS—9 can be adapted for various uses, including eco-resort transfers and yacht tenders. Vessev also plans to expand this technology to larger foiling vessels with increased passenger capacity.
