Norwegian Car Carriers has named NOCC Pacific, its first LNG dual-fuel pure car and truck carrier built at CIMC Raffles’ Longkou Shipyard in China. The 7,000-CEU vessel is the first of three PCTCs on order and features dual-fuel engines, two type-C LNG tanks, and zero-emission capability during port operations. Classed with DNV’s “Ammonia-Ready” and the new “EV notation,” it is the world’s first PCTC certified to the latest safety standard for electric-vehicle transport. Measuring nearly 200 meters and sailing at 19 knots, the ship reflects NOCC’s drive toward a greener fleet. NOCC Pacific is the 15th PCTC delivered by CIMC Raffles and the seventh scheduled from Longkou in 2025.
