Alaska LNG signs deal to sell gas to Taiwan’s state-owned oil and gas company, CPC Corp.  The $44 billion export project to be developed by Alaska Gasline Development Corp. received federal regulators’ approval in 2020 but has not started construction. The project includes an 1,300-kilometre gas pipeline and liquefaction terminal in south-central Alaska. It has been reported that Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy will visit South Korean officials to gain further support. Korea is expected to use LNG exports from the US as a bargaining chip to mitigate potential tariffs, particularly on automobiles, aluminum and steel.
