Anglo-Eastern Maritime Training Centre has completed its inaugural pilot training course focused on ammonia as a marine fuel, marking a key step toward future-ready seafarer skills. The two-day program brought together 26 officers and engineers from across India for specialized instruction on safety, operations, and ammonia-specific risks. Training combined classroom learning with hands-on exercises at the Anglo-Eastern Maritime Academy, including simulations using a unique LNG/ammonia bunkering skid. The course was designed to prepare crews for the company’s first ammonia-fuelled vessel and broader multi-fuel operations. Anglo-Eastern said seafarer feedback will play a central role in refining future training programs.
