AAL Limassol, the first next-generation methanol-ready multipurpose vessel from Singapore-based AAL Shipping, has completed its maiden voyage to Europe, setting a record for the carrier by delivering over 89,000 freight tons of cargo. The 32,000 dwt Super B-Class vessel, launched in January and delivered in April, embarked on its journey from Asia, stopping in Tuticorin before transiting around the Cape of Good Hope to Europe. It discharged cargo in Klaipeda, Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Cuxhaven. The Super B-Class vessels, including the newly named AAL Hamburg and the forthcoming AAL Houston, meet high automation and emission standards, featuring dual-fuel capabilities, NOx Tier III compatibility, and a retractable deck extension system for increased stowage.
