The Trade Policy, Analytics and Marketing Branch in the BC Government’s Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation requesting input on a possible Canada-Ecuador Free Trade Agreement will help to inform the Province’s input to these negotiations expected to commence this spring. Ecuador has a GDP of $155 billion CAD and a population of approximately 18 million. While BC’s exports to Ecuador are relatively modest, a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement may provide new or enhanced opportunities and competitive advantages for BC businesses, workers and investors. Input can be sent to Trade.Policy@gov.bc.ca by April 17, 2024.
