Containership Runs Aground on Lower Mississippi

Chamber of Shipping > Blog > News > US > Containership Runs Aground on Lower Mississippi

A 334-meter containership, the Belita, has run aground on the Lower Mississippi River near Poydras, Louisiana. The Coast Guard has placed a one-way traffic restriction in the immediate vicinity of the grounded vessel. There are no reports of pollution or injuries.
