A joint concentrated inspection campaign (CIC) on fire safety for vessels is being launched by various Port State Control organizations which will run from September to November 2023. The goal is to ensure vessels comply with fire safety rules, including proper equipment maintenance and crew training. If issues are found, they must be fixed quickly to avoid detention.
