Harbour Air is set to purchase 50 electric engines from magniX to electrify its seaplane fleet, signaling a significant step towards sustainable aviation. The airline has entered into a letter of intent with the U.S.-based electric engine manufacturer, magniX, aiming to retrofit its existing aircraft with these eco-friendly engines. Both companies are actively working with Transport Canada to ensure all necessary certifications are met for the DHC-2 Beaver electric engines.
