Vancouver Island Ferry Company’s Hullo fast-ferry service achieved a 99% reliability rate in January 2025, completing nearly all scheduled sailings between Nanaimo and downtown Vancouver. Since launching in August 2023, the service has transported over 650,000 passengers, playing a key role in connecting communities. Hullo is also partnering with major Vancouver events, including Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and Cirque du Soleil ECHO, to facilitate same-day travel for island residents. Additionally, a new Current Conditions section on the company’s website now provides a three-day forecast of sailing conditions, enhancing transparency and customer experience.
