Bonnie has served as the Vice President of the Chamber of Shipping since 2008. Her role is multi-faceted and involves membership engagement, communications and the day-to-day operations of the office and she brings 20+ years of experience in advocacy work for the local industry.
She supports the Chamber of Shipping committees on most operational matters, policy development, and strategic issues. She is currently a director of the International Sailors’ Society of Canada, member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport – Pacific Chapter Executive Committee, member of the Vancouver Centre for Climate Change Steering Committee, industry co-chair for Canada Border Services Agency’s Border and Commercial Consultative Committee Marine Working Group. Past Board positions include the Asia Pacific Gateway Skills Table and the Plimsoll Club.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia with a major in Transportation and Logistics and a Certificate in Shipping and Marine Operations from the Pacific Marine Training Institute.
