Biography

Bonnie was appointed President in March 2023 after serving as the Vice President of the Chamber of Shipping since 2008. Her role is multi-faceted and involves membership engagement, communications and the day-to-day operations of the office and she brings 20+ years of experience in government relations and advocacy for the shipping industryin Canada.  

She supports the Chamber of Shipping committees on most operational matters, policy development, and strategic issues.  She is currently a director of the International Sailors’ Society of Canada, member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport – Pacific Chapter Executive Committee, industry co-chair for Canada Border Services Agency’s Border and Commercial Consultative Committee Marine Working Group.  

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia with a major in Transportation and Logistics and a Certificate in Shipping and Marine Operations from the Pacific Marine Training Institute.
