Donna Spalding is the local representative for Cruise Lines International Association – North West and Canada for Government Affairs and Community Relations and has been with CLIA-NWC since 1999. CLIA-NWC member lines include the major cruise lines operating in the Pacific Northwest – British Columbia, Washington State, Oregon, Alaska & Hawaii; and in Atlantic Canada and Quebec.
Donna’s principal role in the Vancouver-based office involves government and community relations on behalf of the member cruise lines. She also acts as a representation on a variety of community, government and industry boards and committees. As environmental and sustainability issues are front of mind for most marine industry stakeholders, Donna is one of a very few civilians, globally, who has completed the cruise Safety, Environmental & Health Officer training course. In previous roles she has experience within the resource, financial, regional government and legal sectors, and brings over 25 years executive level experience in nonprofit management, marketing and planning to CLIA-NWC.
The CLIA-NWC is one of nine cruise industry associations around the world that are joined together under a common, unified structure to represent the global cruise industry.
