Ivelin is a graduate of the Naval Academy in Bulgaria, where he obtained his Navigational Officer’s License. He began his maritime career serving as a Deck Officer on tankers for four years before immigrating to Canada.
In Canada, he worked as a shipping agent for eight years and earned his Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) Diploma, becoming a proud member of the ICS. During this time, Ivelin also achieved his Master Mariner’s License.
He later joined Oldendorff Carriers, where he has been leading the Operations Department for more than twelve years.
Outside of work, Ivelin is married and a proud father of two energetic boys—doing his best to stay as active as they are.
