Scott serves as the Regional Vice President and General Manager for Vulcan Material’s Canadian Operations – Polaris Materials. Having served in various management roles with Polaris since 2014, Polaris Materials operates the Orca Quarry on Norther Vancouver Island and transports several million tons per year of bulk concrete aggregates to North American coastal markets by ship and barge. Included within this time serving on the charterers’ side of the shipping market, Scott has worked extensively with the Orca Quarry’s First Nation partners, to maintain and grow the ground breaking relationship structure that was created when the project began.
Previously, Scott spent several years on the fleet owners’ side of the business, working with both CSL International as an operations manager and then as Director of Marketing and Customer Service with Northern Transportation Company Limited, a First Nations owned tug and barge provider operating in the Canadian Arctic and on the Eastern Seaboard.
Scott attended the University of Victoria and later received an MBA from Royal Roads University. Married with three young sons, Scott is active in coaching youth sports.
