Vancouver Fraser Port Authority CEO, Robin Silvester, has announced plans to leave the organization after more than 14 years in the role. Robin expressed his desire for a new challenge and to create space for a new leader following the recent federal environmental assessment approval of the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 Project, which has been a significant strategic priority. Under Robin’s leadership, the Vancouver gateway has experienced approximately 40% growth in international trade through the Port of Vancouver, making it Canada’s largest port. His tenure also focused on sustainability initiatives aimed at protecting the environment and fostering thriving communities. Judy Rogers, Chair of the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority Board of Directors, thanked Silvester for his leadership and acknowledged his role in the port authority’s accomplishments. Mr. Silvester will remain in place to support the transition, and the board will conduct a global search for a new President and CEO.
