This certification by the Responsible Tourism Institute aligns the Port with global sustainability goals and demonstrates its commitment to environmental, social, and governance principles. The announcement was made during the fifth edition of the Forum on International Cruises, emphasizing collaborative efforts for sustainable cruise industry development. The Port’s commitment extends to planning for dockside ship electrification, with a project in collaboration with Hydro-Québec, aiming to support sustainable maritime practices and contribute to the Canada-New England route’s positioning as a leader in sustainable development.
