Seaspan Energy and Anew Climate have formed a strategic partnership to supply ISCC-certified renewable liquefied natural gas (R-LNG) to shipowners along the North American West Coast. Under the agreement, Anew will provide renewable natural gas and ISCC pre-audit services, ensuring compliance with global frameworks such as the IMO’s Net-Zero Framework and the EU’s FuelEU Maritime Regulation. This initiative, the first of its kind in the region, builds on Anew’s role in the first US bio-LNG bunkering in 2021 and will expand Seaspan’s LNG bunkering services to include lower-carbon marine fuels at scale, supporting the maritime industry’s decarbonization goals.
