Seaspan Energy has marked a significant milestone with the recent delivery of its first LNG bunkering vessel, the Seaspan Garibaldi (Nch’kay̓). This achievement represents a major step forward in the LNG bunkering market and reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to providing low-carbon solutions for the maritime industry. The vessel, measuring 112.8 meters in length and designed for a speed of 13 knots, is now stationed at the Port of Nanaimo’s assembly Wharf, where final commissioning is being completed in preparation for its initial ship-to-ship bunkering operation in Long Beach. The introduction of the Seaspan Garibaldi is set to enhance refuelling operations along the West Coast of North America, reinforcing Seaspan Energy’s leadership in driving net-zero initiatives across the region. By pioneering innovative policies and procedures for safe and efficient LNG loading at Canadian ports, the company supports Canada’s transition to cleaner energy while promoting operational excellence and economic growth throughout North America.
