The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority has approved Seaspan’s plan to expand its dry dock facilities along the Lonsdale waterfront in the City of North Vancouver. The expansion will include the installation of two additional dry docks, offering an improved capacity to handle a range of vessel types. The new facilities will consolidate and expand Seaspan’s ship repair business operations, helping to manage the demands on the existing facilities. In exchange for approval, Seaspan will need to meet 61 conditions designed to mitigate environmental and community impacts, including noise and lighting considerations.
