TKMS and Seaspan have signed a teaming agreement to support Canada’s goal of establishing a sovereign, long-term sustainment capability for its future submarine fleet under the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project. The collaboration will focus on through-life support on both Canada’s west and east coasts, integrating the Royal Canadian Navy, fleet maintenance facilities and Canadian industry. By combining Seaspan’s domestic submarine sustainment expertise with TKMS’s global engineering and lifecycle support experience, the partners aim to ensure high operational readiness and long-term availability of the fleet. The agreement also opens the door to potential export sustainment opportunities linked to TKMS’s international submarine programs.
