Canada has established reciprocal arrangements with Ireland, allowing Irish seafarers holding valid STCW certificates to apply for a Canadian endorsement. This expands on Canada’s existing agreements with other countries and reciprocally, Canadian seafarers can also seek an Irish endorsement. To apply for a Canadian endorsement, seafarers must complete specified Transport Canada forms and can find additional information on the process online.
