The Prince Rupert Port Authority (PRPA) has announced the appointment of Jean-Jacques (JJ) Ruest to its Board of Directors, confirmed by Canada’s Transport Minister Anita Anand. A seasoned executive with over 40 years of expertise in transportation and logistics, Mr. Ruest previously served as CEO and President of CN Rail. His accolades include the Railroad Innovator Award (2021) and induction into the International Maritime Hall of Fame (2017). PRPA Board Chair Peter Lantin welcomed Ruest, highlighting his valuable experience in the Port of Prince Rupert’s commercial development. Ruest’s three-year term began on December 17, 2024.
