Developers of the 800-mile Alaska LNG pipeline project, a joint venture between Glenfarne and the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation, expect to complete a major engineering and cost study by December, U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said Monday. The $39-billion project, long delayed, has regained momentum under President Donald Trump’s push to expand fossil fuel infrastructure. The pipeline would move natural gas from Alaska’s North Slope to the Gulf of Alaska for export as LNG. Australian engineering firm Worley is conducting the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) study, which will inform a final investment decision expected in 2025.
