Unifor members at Canadian National Railway (CN) ratified new four-year collective agreements on December 22nd, averting a potential strike. The multiple collective agreements with Unifor represents approximately 3,300 members working in different mechanical, clerical and intermodal functions. Unifor National President Lana Payne highlighted the agreement as securing important gains that recognize the critical role of members in CN’s operations. Negotiations began in September and focused on higher wages, pension plan concerns, and job security.
