The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority has announced the appointment of Alexa Young as Vice President, Government Relations and External Affairs, effective July 2, 2025. Young brings over two decades of senior executive experience across the natural resources, energy, technology, and public policy sectors. She most recently served as VP of Policy and Public Affairs at New Economy Canada and has held leadership roles at the BC Council of Forest Industries, TELUS, and Teck Resources. Young holds degrees from Queen’s University, the London School of Economics, and the University of Victoria.
